The Venue

An urban loft experience in one of Munich’s most beautiful quarters

We hold the day at Out of Office, a 300 m² artist-studio loft with a 60 m² rooftop terrace. It is looking out over one of Munich’s most creative quarters, the Glockenbachviertel.

The space is relaxed and private. Conversations happen one to one and in small groups, with room to step away for a quiet word whenever you need it. The quarter also offers opportunities for the whole day, for instance, for walking 1:1s.

The urban venue is a few minutes from the main station, surrounded by cafés, ateliers, and old workshops. It has a warm, feel-at-home atmosphere.

FAQ

Questions allocators ask

A few quick answers before you request your spot. Anything still open, just tell us when you apply.

An invitation-only room for allocators who back external managers: endowments, foundations, family offices, MFOs, funds of funds, and OCIOs.

For the first event we are planning with 25 to 40 allocators and a similar number of managers.

The managers are concentrated, long-term equity investors, global and European, often under the radar, typically running between $20 and $500 million. This is the room for backing strong managers early, while capacity is still open. If you only write large tickets into established multi-billion funds, this is probably not your room.

Out of Office is in the Glockenbachviertel, a few minutes from Munich central station and about 40 minutes from Munich Airport by S-Bahn. We send the exact address and a short list of nearby hotels once your spot is confirmed. If you come for the wider week of events, tell us in your request and we help you plan the trip.

The day runs in English, from the welcome lunch through to the closing dinner.

The Good Investing Day itself is free for allocators. The European Value Investing Conference, the Ben Graham Centre’s event on 17 September at the Rosewood Munich, is a separate event with its own ticket. We hold 30 tickets and can arrange your purchase, but that fee is separate from our day. We deliberately placed our day before it, and many attendees do both.

Every Good Investing event comes back to the same three things. Grow: learn from sharp managers and thoughtful peers and leave with fresh perspective. Connect: make genuinely helpful new connections and deepen the ones you already have. Fun: a warm, lovely atmosphere that is not too serious, with good food, walks through Munich, and an evening worth staying for.

Most fundraising conferences are large and anonymous: a ballroom, a stack of business cards, and pitches unrelated to your mandate. We start with the allocators, curate the room around strategy fit, and pre-match meetings from your requests. The group stays small enough that every conversation counts.

Your seat is complimentary and reserved for you. Managers travel to meet the confirmed allocators, so please plan to attend once you confirm, and give us early notice if your plans change.
