02

How do we build the overviews?

TL;DR: We start with the exhibitor list of a leading trade fair, not with a stock screener. That finds companies that screeners miss.

Method

Why trade fairs?

Stock screeners sort companies by industry codes. These codes are often wrong or too broad: a pump maker sits in "machinery", a satellite supplier in "electronics". At a trade fair, companies show what they actually sell to an industry. That is why exhibitor lists are a good starting point to find listed companies with real exposure.

For each overview we read the complete exhibitor list, often more than 1,000 entries. We match the exhibitors to listed companies or their listed parent groups, check tickers against market data and sort them into pure plays and companies with exposure. Private, family-owned and state-owned exhibitors are excluded, but we name the most important ones on each page.

Inside

What is in each overview?

Every overview has a searchable table of all companies with ticker, exchange, country, segment and the name under which they exhibited. Pure plays come with their market cap. You can download the full list as a free Excel file, together with an AI research pack: ready-made prompts to research the list with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.

The lists are a starting point for your own research, not a recommendation. They are curated and may miss smaller listed exhibitors. If you find one, please tell us.

03

Which industry should we cover next?

TL;DR: Tell us which trade fair or industry you would like to see next.

We plan more overviews, for example medical technology, hydrogen and batteries, and mining. If you know a trade fair with a public exhibitor list that we should cover, write to .
